Summer Mature Makeup Made Easy

Updated: Jun 17, 2024

I'm all about easy summer makeup that looks great no matter the weather. Here are a few of my favorite makeup products for the warmer weather.

In my latest YouTube video, I shared an easy summer makeup look for our mature skin for those days when you want to look pulled together, but don't want to put in a lot of effort.

Starting with good skincare is essential, and making sure you have on SPF is a must as well. After my skin is prepped, I reach for my Milani Setting Spray. I've shared my love for this setting spray and the secret to applying it in this video. If I am applying primer, I reach for Nyx Blurring Primer w/ SPF.

I always use a color corrector, and this one goes on like a dream. In this video (pictured above), you can see what a difference color corrector can make if you have a lot of redness and discoloration around your mature eyes. If you feel the need to skip color corrector, you can move right in to concealer. This is my current favorite drugstore concealer for mature skin. It's waterproof and contains hyaluronic acid, and you know I love a product that does double duty.

Let's talk about brows, I believe they are very important to create a finished look. I do have mine microbladed, but I still add a bit of color to them. I am loving the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil. It is so easy to apply, looks great and comes in several different shades. I use the shade Taupe.

If you want to lock your brows in place, or skip a pencil all together, this setting glue is amazing! It comes in clear, or if you need to add a little more color to your brows it comes tinted as well. Setting my brows with this setting glue keeps them looking perfect all day long, which is a feat in the hot and humid weather.

When my brows are finished, I go ahead and apply the Morphe Bake and Set Powder. This talc-free, lightweight, loose powder gives you a soft, natural finish, all while smoothing pores and fine lines.

Blush is my next step, and this one is easy to apply and has been my go-to lately. I use the shade "Pinch Me Pink", but there are several colors to chose from.

Eyeliner can be difficult to apply for even the advanced makeup wearers, so instead of messing with liquid eyeliner or a pencil, I simply take a pencil makeup brush, a bit of setting spray, and lightly apply a bit of this bronzer as a liner. It's a failproof way to give your eyes a bit of a pop.

My love for this mascara runs deep, so it's my go to. It's a tubing mascara, which means it's not difficult to remove, stays all day with no clumps or flakes. When I'm done, I spray another couple of sprays of the Milani Setting Spray and the look is complete.

Here is a list of all the products I used in the video:

Here's a pin for you for you.
