Summer is here and warmer temps call for a different approach when it comes to skincare and makeup. I really pair down my usual routine so it's sweatproof, and not as heavy for the summer. Here are a few of my Top Mature Makeup Essentials for Summer.
You've heard me discuss this Glow Serum Mist before, and it is the first product I reach for. It has everything I need to keep my mature skin hydrated and looking great all in one bottle. Bonus, it's under $20! Here is a link to a video I did sharing my love for this mist.
SPF is a must for aging skin, and this Blurring Primer is one of my favorites. It's a sunscreen and blurring primer all in one. It looks great under makeup as well as by itself. It helps give your makeup something to grab on to, so it doesn't feel like it's sliding off your face.
This setting spray is magic. If you want your makeup to last all day long, this is what you need. Applying it correctly will make a big difference in how it works, so make sure to take a look at this video to see how easy it is to have gorgeous, hydrated makeup all day long.
If your SPF isn't a primer, or you prefer a primer without SPF, I have been loving this primer stick from Wet & Wild. Talk about easy to use, you use it only where you want it. I like to use this under my eyes, around my nose and mouth. It really helps my makeup stay put and feels light as a feather on my skin.
I cannot wear a heavy foundation in the spring and summer where I live, the heat and humidity will ruin it within seconds. This lightweight foundation gives you medium coverage that is buildable, breathable and looks gorgeous on. I get so many compliments on my skin every time I wear it. This lovely foundation also contains an SPF of 25.
After completing my mature makeup routine, I finish it off with another spray of the Milani setting spray and my makeup looks great for the whole day.
Here is a video of all the steps together.
I hope this helps you have beautiful, long lasting mature makeup all day long this Summer. Thank you for being here.
God Bless you,
Dawn
