As we gracefully navigate the landscape of aging, many of us seek makeup that complements, rather than conceals, our natural beauty. Thankfully, drugstores have risen to the occasion, and there is an impressive range of new products tailored for mature skin. Today I wanted to share some of the latest drugstore makeup options that work perfectly for those of us over 50.

I created a video here sharing my thoughts on all the products, I hope you'll watch!
Retinol Skincare
I have been loving the Roc Retinol Firming Serum Stick. Created with a dermatologist, this hydrating and fast-absorbing stick helps to treat, tighten and lift giving you visibly firmer skin. It targets the face, neck, chest and back of hands and I have been using it regularly on my neck with great results.
Brow Products Formulated for Perfection
Well-defined brows can significantly elevate your look. As we age, our eyebrows may thin, and using the right products to enhance them is essential. I tried the L'Oreal Faux Brow Ultra Fine Double-Brush Tip Brow Filling Pen and was thrilled at how easy it was to fill in my brows. The double brush tip creates thin, hair-like strokes giving you very natural looking brows. If needed, I use this brush to soften and blend the product.
Blushes and Cheek Essentials for a Radiant Glow
When it comes to achieving a radiant and healthy glow, blushes and cheek products play a pivotal role in enhancing the natural beauty of the face. These products not only add color to the cheeks but also create dimension and warmth, making the skin appear more vibrant and youthful. I recently tried the Morphe Cheek Thrills Multi-Finish Face Trio, It includes a satin cream, luminous balm & velvet powder, and blends seamlessly giving my skin a beautiful glow. Another great drugstore blush is the Revolution Beauty Blusher Reloaded. This pressed powder is formulated to be buildable and blendable. But, I will say I find this to be super pigmented, so use a very light hand when applying. Brushes play a part in how your makeup looks and wears, and I love using the BK Beauty 116 Small Round Complexion brush to apply my cream blush.
Lip Colors That Flatter
With age, lips can develop fine lines, making it essential to choose flattering lip products. Many recent drugstore releases feature hydrating and long-lasting formulas. For a touch of radiance, I like to use lip glosses and tints to provide color and hydration. I tried two new lip products, but I sadly didn't love either of them. I was surprised I didn't love the e.l.f. Cosmetics Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm, because I love most of the Reviver products they've released. It's more of a gloss than a balm, but the smell and taste were way too strong for my taste. It's not bad, just very, VERY sweet smelling and tasting. I also tried the Morphe Hot Honeys Plumping Lip Oil which is infused with Manuka honey, a powerful plumping complex, and chili extract. It's a sheer finish, but just let me tell you it is spicy! If you don't like the tingling/warming in your lip product, this one probably won't be for you.
Setting Products for a Flawless Finish
Setting your makeup is crucial for keeping everything intact, especially for drier skin types prevalent in mature individuals. I really love the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Blur-fection Longwear Loose Setting Powder. Not only does it do exactly what it says it will do, but this lightweight, airy powder gives a beautiful blurring effect while brightening. It absorbs shine, prevents flashback, and locks in makeup while blurring the appearance of fine lines and pores. I use the BK Brush 108 Precision Powder brush to apply my setting powder.
Final Thoughts
I hope you enjoyed these options that add a bit of fun and vibrancy to your daily beauty routine. The right makeup can lift your spirits and celebrate beauty at every stage of life. Embrace your age, take care of your skin, and enjoy your beauty journey!
