Mature Skincare for Maximum Results

Nothing feels better than great looking skin, and as we age we need to take care of our skin differently than we did at an earlier age. Today, I wanted to share a few products I have found that make in difference in my skincare. Vitamin C and Retinol can be workhorses in your skincare routine, and after using these products I can attest that they make a huge difference in my skin.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces signs of aging, so it's a great addition to your daily skincare. Vitamin C is best used in the morning, as it also helps to protect skin during the day. If I had to pick a morning skincare must-have, Vitamin C serum would be it. Here are a few that I really like.

Affordable Options: The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% Plus Alpha Arbutin 2%, is a product that packs a double punch. It contains pure Vitamin C which brightens the skin tone and reduces many other signs of aging, plus the Aplha Arbutin which is a highly-purified biosynthetic active ingredient that reduces the look of dark spots and uneven skin tone.

The Lanmeri Vitamin C + Ferulic Face Serum is another multi-product serum that I like. It contains 15% Pure L-Ascorbic Acid, Ferulic Acid, Vitamin E, & Hyaluronic Acid which all help diminish signs of aging. This can help minimize the appearance of fine lines and deeper wrinkles while continuing to protect your skin, all for under $20.

The Clarins Bright Plus Serum is a bit more expensive, but a fan favorite for all the great benefits it offers. This serum contains Vitamin C infused with superfruit extracts—including Acerola Cherry Seed & Rose-Myrtle and will give you a healthy, radiant, more even glow and improved skin tone.

My favorite evening skincare superhero by far is Retinol. It really is the gold standard for combating aging skin issues as it helps with wrinkles, dark spots and brightness just to name a few. The stronger Retinol products can cause skin irritation and peeling and are prescription only. This is the one drawback of using them. If you are new to using Retinol, or experiencing some negative issues with the prescription Retinol, there are several over the counter products that will get you the same results without all the dryness.

Affordable Option: The RoC Retinol Correxion Anti-Aging Wrinkle Night Serum is a great and affordable Retinol option. This highly recommended serum contains concentrated pure RoC Retinol & a bio-derived antioxidant with 2X the effectiveness of Vitamin E. Reviews are amazing, and not only does it help with the overall appearance of your skin, it also leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

The Ultimate Miracle Worker Nourish & Rejuvenate Face & Neck Cream by Philosphy is a fast absorbing cream that won't leave you with dry, flaky skin. It contains the powerful Retinol, plus several other anti-aging ingredients that will leave you with smoother, refreshed skin. This product is a cruelty-free beauty product as well.

Do you have any must-have beauty products that you love in your skincare routine? Leave me a comment to let me know what beauty products you love.

I hope this is helpful. I'd love it if you share this with a mature friend who also struggles with the changing needs of our mature skin. Here's a bonus article you might enjoy.

God Bless,

Dawn

Thanks for the info!! I’m on the verge of being 71. Not many wrinkles for my age but plagued with dark spots. My skin is in the normal range. Which products would you recommend for me?
