This is the first, of what I hope to be, a weekly roundup of some of the beauty items I'm trying (or reordering) in the arena of mature and drugstore beauty.
I hope this short break down helps you find some new mature skincare or makeup favorites. Let's get started.
The Botanic Tree Glycolic Acid Face Wash is an absolute favorite of mine to give a gentle cleaning and exfoliation in the shower every morning. I'm never without this and even buy the travel size for my carry on.
Lakur by Londontown is one of my favorite polishes. It never lets me down and is super clean. The color Hot Spring is gorgeous for Summer.
If you've been with me for a while, you know one of my favorite brow pencils for filling in sparse mature brows is this one and I use the color Taupe.
NYX Buttermelt Blushes are fantastic. You cannot beat these for pigmentation, price and longevity. I made this video here about using 2 colors. My current favorite color is 02.
Vacation Desserts lip balms with SPF 30 are by my side constantly now. It's a simple lip balm that's affordable, smells great with nostalgic scents and fits in my pocket when I'm on my morning walk.
I had the opportunity to try the Clarins UV Plus face sunscreen and love it. It's SPF 50 and protects skin from the environment also.
If you love lip oils, the Elf Reviver Lip Oil is a terrific product for the money. This option is a barely there sheer pink color, but does have a strong watermelon scent. If you don't like scented products, you might want to skip this one.
Maree Glycolic Acid Peel Pads are so good. Full of wonderful ingredients for our mature skin. I wipe one of these pads all over my face, neck and back of my hands after washing and drying my face at night. After the using the pad, let it dry, then apply your regular nighttime skincare. These exfoliating pads are a great way to deliver some much needed anti-aging ingredients, especially if our other products are lacking.
The Good Molecules Vitamin C Serum is a new find for me. So affordable. It says it's a serum, but If you use it before moisturizer, it will pill. So, I use this last. Loving this serum so much. Give me all the powerful Vitamin C products at an affordable price!!
