Mature skin presents unique challenges. Challenges we didn't face 20 years ago. It can be frustrating at times trying to naviagate all of the new beauty products on the market. Below you'll find some of the best makeup and skincare products I discovered last year. I hope these product selections make your job easier when looking for your skin and makeup needs, as well as enhancing your natural beauty.

One thing I'm always trying to do is find products that include ingredients that will benefit our mature skin. Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, ceramides, Vitamin C and peptides. You'll see that in several of my favorites.
A good sunscreen is one of the most important skincare products you can use, and this NYX Blurscreen Primer not only works as a sunscreen, but it's also a great smoothing primer.
Choosing foundations that offer a luminous finish are great for mature skin, as matte types can make our skin appear dull. Liquid and cream formulas are particularly beneficial for hydration like the Maybelline Super Stay 24H Skin Tint + Vitamin C. This foundation not only delivers bright, buildable light-to-medium coverage for a skin-like finish and a natural, radiant look, it also contains Vitamin C.
The Catrice True Skin High Cover Concealer is a waterproof formula practically melts into the skin without settling into the fine lines, while still providing outstanding coverage. This has been my go-to concealer.
Using cream blushes and highlighters can create a youthful glow without the heaviness of powders. They blend seamlessly into the skin for a fresh finish. If you've watched my video on how to create a more youthful makeup appearance on mature skin, then you know the hack of applying cream blush before applying concealer. When choosing a setting powder for mature skin, the goal is to select one that minimizes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dryness while providing a smooth finish. I have been loving the talc-free Morphe Bake & Set Setting Powder which does a great job of setting my mature makeup all day long.
As we age, brows can become more sparse. I like to fill mine in a bit with something that's easy to use and gives the look of natural, defined brows without appearing harsh or overly drawn.
