If you love natural beauty products like I do, when you find something you love, you are really, really happy and you want to tell everyone.
Truth be told, I get seriously excited when I find a new product. Maybe a little too excited. Maybe.
That’s because, in the past few years, I’ve spent countless days, weeks, and months with itchy red rashes after having allergic reactions to different cosmetics and beauty products.
I used to be easily enticed by pretty packaging and advertising hype. I would find a fancy new lotion or potion, only to get it home and after just a few days of using it, break out with an ugly allergic reaction. So, frustrating.
I think we’ve been so conditioned to think that “traditional” products with big ads and commercials are the only products we should use or will work.
Now, I know I need to read packages carefully and check out brands before investing my money and getting my hopes up.
Whether you have skin allergies, like I do, or you just want to stay away from potentially toxic ingredients found in the cosmetic aisles, it can be a chore finding safe and effective natural beauty products.
Once I find a good product or brand, I stick with it. Why take chances right? But, every once in a while I see a new brand or new product from one of my favorite brands and I can’t wait to try it out.
Here are a couple of my new favorite natural beauty products, and one or two that I can’t be without.

Box Naturals is always at the top of my list when it comes to natural products. If you’ve been with me for a while, you know I’ve shared these personal wet towelettes before in articles like this one. I’m obsessed with them. They are completely natural, smell heavenly, and individually wrapped. So, you can take them anywhere. And, as we all know, when you need to freshen up, it’s great to be able to reach in your purse and know you have something that will do the job and not cause any skin reactions.
Butter London and Zoya are my favorite nail polishes. Have you ever read the ingredients in traditional nail polish? Yikes. I don’t paint my fingernails anymore but I do paint my toes. The thought of painting my fingernails brings back the memories of a horrible reaction I had once complete with painful itching, swelling, and blisters on my fingers. (No kidding). I still paint my toes, but whether I do it at home or in a salon, I use my own polish, base, and top coat.
Would it be best to leave my nails unpainted? I’m sure it would. But, I love all things beauty and I want to find a comfortable balance between using beauty products and protecting my health and my skin.
I love Zoya’s polishes, especially their base and top coat. They have so many lovely colors. Butter London is a little pricier, but they have beautiful, “on-trend” colors, that go on well, and have staying power. They have some other terrific products in their line as well. I love their eyebrow gel and lip gloss.
Unfortunately, the one thing I did not like from Butter London was their gel polish. It did not work for me.
Pacifica Coconut Water Cleansing Tonic is super fun. Just apply this tonic to a cotton pad and wipe your makeup right off. No rinsing needed. I really like this product. I have super oily skin and probably wouldn’t use this every day exclusively. But, this is a terrific solution if you were camping or traveling and needed to freshen up and there was not a bathroom handy. If you have very dry skin or don’t wear a lot of makeup, this might be a good product for you to try.
My favorite thing about this product is not how easy it is to use or even the natural ingredients, it’s that the label says it’s intended for “age defiant skin”. That’s definitely me!!
Tarte Brightening Primer is one of my new favorites. In the past, I have stayed away from primers, because I have such oily skin. I didn’t want to put one more thing on my face that might make my skin feel “weighed down”. I decided to give this a try to help keep my makeup from slipping into my creases (AKA wrinkles). I LOVE THIS. Oh my gosh. Once you apply it, you never even know it’s there. It’s light and you only need a small amount. LOVE!!!
Tarte has so many great natural products, their mascara is also amazing. I hate to spend much money on mascara and usually wait for a good sale, but this is totally worth it in my opinion.
PiperWai is my go-to deodorant. I’ve spent years dealing with horrible rashes under my arms from the ingredients in antiperspirants and deodorants. Then I tried EVERY single natural deodorant on the planet (I’m almost not kidding) trying to find one that actually works and wouldn’t make me break out. PiperWai is natural, contains nothing unhealthy and it actually helps keep you smelling fresh all day. Yeah!!
With all the natural beauty products out there, these are a few of my favorites. What are some of yours? I’d love to have you leave a comment so I can check them out. Remember, we are in this together.
