My daughter recently had a friend over and they had a fantastic time with quick, homemade play dough, thanks to Play Dough Recipes. This is a great recipe to have handy as we get into the “cooped up inside” season. The ingredients are basic and preparation is easy.
You will need:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup salt
Food coloring
In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add hot water and food color to the flour mixture and combine thoroughly. This will make a small amount so you may want to make a batch for each child. (The picture above shows two batches.) The playdough will keep in the fridge about a week.
Have fun and consider creating alongside your child!

we used to love making playdough different colors and smells
Of course! Playdough uses flour. Great idea for a URS post.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ll check out the referenced Play Doh site too. You never get tired of this stuff, eh? My 9 year old loves it as much as our 3 year old. Thanks for the inspiration
