strawberry cake

If you have a stash of frozen strawberries, this is a great use for them. It has a very strong, but delicious strawberry flavor.

Strawberry Cake

1 box white cake mix

1 box, 3 ounces strawberry jello

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup oil

4 eggs

1/2 cup frozen strawberries; do not use much juice

Mix jello and hot water. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix 3 minutes on low and pour into prepared 9 x 13 pan. Bake on 325 for 45-60 minutes.

I frosted this with a commercial “whipped” strawberry frosting but a powdered sugar glaze might be good also.

YUM! Princess Nagger loves anything strawberry, and when she saw the picture of the cake, she’s now nagging me to make one…(grin!!) Thanks for the recipe – it’ll get lots of use in our house! :)

Though I’m not a strawberry eater, my daughter loves them. I’m certain she’d enjoy this cake. We love buying the cake mixes on sale for a dollar and then dressing them up.
